Coach Meyo’s Biography
Coach Meyo joined the Grenadiers staff last year in an informal role of scouting for the Varsity team. He joined the staff full time in week 9 and throughout the playoffs as defensive line coach. This season he will join the staff full time as Varsity defensive line coach.
Before joining Elk Grove H.S. he coached for 10 years with the last 4 at Driscoll Catholic H.S. earning 3 state championships and a trip to the quarter finals. Dan coached offensive line, defensive line, strength training, Asst. Head Coach and Co-President of football operations.
In 2004 Bloomingdale Parks Foundation honored Dan for his contributions and efforts in representing the Bloomingdale Athletic Club. Also, in 2008 Driscoll Catholic H.S. was recognized for his efforts “Partners in Education” award.
He graduated from John Hersey H.S. in 1978 where he played football, and graduated from Illinois State University in 1983. Coach resides in Bloomingdale with his wife Jeannine and their two children. He looks forward to being back in the Mid-Suburban Conference.
